Historical Background:
The Chaparral 2F, designed by Jim Hall, was an advanced high-wing, with an automatic transmission prototype, that raced in 1967. Although extremely fast, it suffered repeated mechanical failures throughout the season — except for one major triumph at Brands Hatch, where Phil Hill and Mike Spence achieved the car’s only win.
